New Report Evaluates 20th Century Climate Models for the Southeast U.S.

The Southeast Climate Science Center supported project “Evaluation and Downscaling of CMIP5 Climate Simulations for the Southeastern US“, has just released an OFR titled “An Evaluation of 20th Century Climate for the Southeastern United States as Simulated by Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5 (CMIP5) Global Climate Models”. The report describes how researchers took a suite of statistics that characterize various aspects of the regional climate and made calculations from both model simulations and observation-based datasets. The report is available at https://pubs.er.usgs.gov/publication/ofr20161047.
